Ashwani Kumar to represent PM in Morocco

The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will be represented by the Minister of State for Industry, Mr Ashwani Kumar, at the fourth annual international conference on `Fundamentals of investment: Education, training and employment' to be held on Thursday at Rabat in Morocco.

India has been selected as the `Country of Honour' for the conference, according to an official release.

Mr Kumar, who is leaving for Morocco on Wednesday, will be carrying a message from the Indian Prime Minister for the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr Driss Jettou. In the message to his Moroccan counterpart, Dr Singh has said that the conference will be a stimulating event drawing on the unique strengths of Morocco.

The Minister will also be leading an Indian delegation of business leaders and will address the plenary session of the conference.

Apart from meeting the Morocco Prime Minister, Mr Kumar would also be meeting the Morocco Foreign Minister, Mr Mohamed Benaissa, and Mr Rachid Talbi El Alami, Minister Delegate to the PM of Morocco.
