ISPs Tadiran offers IP tools for enterprises V.Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , Dec. 6 Israeli equipment company, Tadiran Telecom, has come up with a solution for enterprises that builds on the existing telecom infrastructure and enables them to move on to a Internet protocol (IP) and voice over Internet protocol-based network. "This is a compelling proposition for companies with whom we have been working in India over the last 10 years and, thereby, makes their job of migrating to the VoIP network swift and easy," Mr Rajnish Gupta, Director of Marketing, Tadiran Telecom in India, said.
Key market
Speaking to Business Line, Mr Gupta said "Tadiran considers India as one of its key markets and is on course to tapping into the growing small and medium enterprises segment along with large corporations. With Crompton Greaves and BPL Telecom Ltd as strategic partners, we are looking at cross selling some of the products. "With a large clientele including Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, HMT, Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratories, Andhra Gas Power, BSNL and Hyderabad Stock Exchange, we are expanding the company portfolio of products for them and also looking at the opportunities in Defence and Government sectors," he explained.
Transformation
Last two years, telecom networks have gradually transformed and enabled their employees IP-based communication. This has meant a few challenges for Indian companies, who have invested heavily into their telecom equipment. With Tadiran's new range of products, they would not have to discard their existing equipment, he said. "The market for VoIP in India has just begun to expand and promises to offer immense scope for growth. As a company, Tadiran is targeting about 20 per cent market share within the next two-three years," Mr Gupta said.
