Jet signs deal for simulators

Jet Airways has signed a contract with CAE for supply of Boeing 777-300 extended range and Airbus A-330 simulators.

In addition, the Canadian-based company will provide a CAE Simfinity Integrated Procedures Trainer (IPT) for the Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft as well as a CAE Simfinity Maintenance Flight Training Device for the A330 aircraft.

"These new simulators will help the airline provide high quality pilot training as we introduce the Boeing 777-300 ER to our fleet and expand our A-330 fleet," Jet Airways Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said.

CAE has already manufactured and supplied the two Boeing 737 new generation simulators currently operating at the Jet Airways training centre at Mumbai.

The airline has already drawn up plans for inducting 20 wide-body aircraft including 10 Boeing 777-300 ER and 10 Airbus A-330 starting from April. next year.
