Number crunch in the air

A colleague trying to follow up on the supposed hike in air fares from mid-November found that none of the airlines is talking about it. When asked, they claim the increase is in place, but are unable to specify the routes on which prices have gone up and by how much. All that they say is that the number of low-price tickets that were being offered have been reduced, but here again, there are no numbers.
