Sethusamudram Corporation Ltd has accorded approval for making a contribution of Rs 32,15,000 towards execution of 12 schemes under its coastal community development programme in Tuticorin and Ramanathapuram districts .

According to Mr N.K. Raghupathy, CMD, the approval is made out of a funding of Rs 5 crore earmarked for provision of micro infrastructure in coastal villages, as per the directive from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests while sanctioning environmental clearance for implementation of Sethusamudraml project.
