IT finishing school in Kolkata

Mr S. Ramadorai, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, will inaugurate the IT finishing school that is being set up at Taratala in Kolkata by the State Government, according to Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal.

Speaking at the Bengal Chief Minister's Interactive session of Infocom 2006 Conference and Exhibition here on Thursday, Mr Bhattacharjee said the IT finishing school would help bridge the demand-supply gap in manpower for managerial positions in the IT sector. In this regard, he stressed upon the importance of industry-academia interface and sought their co-operation.
