Honour for Hyderabad varsity V-C

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Dec. 7

Dr Seyed E. Hasnain, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, has been elected member of the prestigious Deutsche Akademie Der Naturforscher (German Academy of Sciences), Leopoldina. He is probably the first Indian biologist, after Nobel laureate Hargobind Khurana, to be elected to this 350-year-old academy. "I am overwhelmed by this recognition and it's a great honour personally to me and to the University of Hyderabad," said Dr Hasnain in a press release.
