IDBI seeks nod for more branches

IDBI Ltd has sought the RBI permission to open 100 new branches, said Mr. V.P. Shetty, Chairman and Managing Director, IDBI Ltd, on the sidelines of a press conference.

"The bank also plans to hire 1,000 employees in a couple of months," he said. Around 500 employees have left the organisation in the past nine months, he added. IDBI has staff strength of 6,800 people.
