The Department of Public Enterprises under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises has rated the performance of GAIL (India) Ltd during the financial year 2005-06 as `Excellent'.

According to a statement issued by GAIL, the company has secured a provisional composite MoU score of 1.28 for the fiscal 2005-06.

GAIL has emerged as the third best oil and gas sector PSU on the basis of performance during the financial year under review. Out of 29 benchmarked parameters in its MoU with the Government, GAIL scored `Excellent' in 25 parameters. It scored `Excellent' against all seven criteria listed under the Static Financial Parameters.
