Virendra Pandit

Ahmedabad , Dec. 8

Rubber futures in near series traded on National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) terminals hit upper circuit, apparently due to supply squeeze, the Exchange said in a release here on Friday. The near-December contract hit a high of Rs 8,595 and low of Rs 8,215 for RSS4. On Thursday, it had closed at Rs 8,187, with a gain of Rs 128, steadily rising from Rs 7,743 last Saturday, with a cumulative gain of Rs 344. It had risen by Rs 564 for January contract, by Rs 561 for February contract and by Rs 552 for March contract. Earlier, cardamom traded on NMCE had also hit upper circuit on Thursday on technical correction, after hitting the lower circuit for two consecutive days.
