`India, UAE should maximise potential from globalisation'

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Dec. 8

It is vital that the India and UAE maximise potential from the trend towards globalisation, said Mr Kamal Nath, Commerce and Industry Minister. While speaking at the India-Arab World CEO Summit, he said India and the Arab world had a key role to play in shaping the design of the new global architecture.

Ms Sheikha Lubna, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, called for India's partnership in developing healthcare and infrastructure in the Arab world as well contributing to its growth into a knowledge region. The two ministers agreed that the key synergies are the availability of Arab investment liquidity to invest in India and the availability of Indian human capital skills in technology and services to the Arab world.
