Labour Reforms States - Andhra Pradesh `Labour scene vital factor in investments' Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 10 The State Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr G. Vinod, stated that the labour scenario is an important determinant of investment climate. He emphasised that joint efforts are required from the Government and the Industry to develop friendly labour policies to attract more and more investments in the State. He said Andhra Pradesh has a huge reservoir of skilled manpower with the presence of large number of engineering colleges, medical colleges and management institutes and traditional universities. It also has a large number of national institutes. The Minister was addressing the CII Southern Regional Council, comprising more than 50 CEOs and senior representatives from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry , here on Saturday. Mr M. Lakshminarayan, Chairman, CII Southern Region and Joint Managing Director, MICO, Bosch Group, said that Andhra Pradesh was one of the fastest growing States in the country. Dr G. Vivekanand, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh and Managing Director, Visaka Industries Ltd, stated that the Andhra Pradesh Government and CII have been working on major areas related to the development of industry and its allied fields, for the betterment of the State.
