Subhiskha enters Maharashtra

The Chennai-based discount retail chain Subhiksha Trading Services Ltd on Tuesday announced its entry in Maharashtra. With an outlay of over Rs 100 crore, Subhiksha will open 180 stores across eight cities. "About 180 stores, selling drugs, FMCGs, mobile equipment and groceries, will be opened in eight cities.

Mumbai will have 100 stores, of which 80 are slated to be operational within four weeks," said Mr R. Subramaniam, Managing Director. Subhiksha will complete the store rollout in two phases.
