FLAME courses to begin in July

FLAME, a not-for-profit organisation that is setting up a campus on the outskirts of Pune, will launch its first courses in July 2007, according to Prof Indira J. Parikh, former dean of IIM-Ahmedabad.

Promising to impart holistic education, FLAME (Foundation for Liberal and Management Education) will offer undergraduate programmes, a school of business offering post-graduate degree courses and a Centre for Organisational Growth and Excellence (COGE) offering management development programmes for industry. Speaking to newspersons, she said that the highlights would include international and IIM faculty, wide choice of subjects, sports, gym, yoga, NGO activities and film club as part of holistic development and ultra-modern Wi-Fi campus.

The facilities would come up on a 75-acre campus. Founded by Mr Nemish Shah of Enam Financial Consultants and Mr Parag Shah in 2004, FLAME also has Mr Vallabh Bhansali, Chairman of Enam Consultants and Mr Anil Singhvi, Managing Director of Gujarat Ambuja Cement, on its board.
