New Delhi , Dec. 14

Bose Corporation today said it plans to double its exclusive brand stores in the country in the next 18 months.

The company operates in India through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bose Corporation India Pvt Ltd, and at present has 12 stores spread across the metro cities.

"In 2003, we had only two exclusive stores in India compared to 12 today. The encouraging response has motivated us to take it to 24 in another 18 months,'' the Bose Corporation India General Manager, Mr Ratish Pandey, told reporters here.

Increase presence

He said the company plans to increase its presence in the metros and would also explore some tier-II cities for expansion.

The company launched its new compact headphones today with an enhanced noise control system.

The product is an upgrade over its existing headphones and has been introduced in two models, in-ear and on-ear.

The new headphones have also been introduced without the noise control system. While the noise control version has been priced at Rs 18,900, the other models would be available in a range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,200 (excluding tax).
