Foreign Trade States - West Bengal JDS Tech in pact with German body to boost investments Our Bureau
Kolkata , Dec. 16 The city-based JDS Technologies Pvt Ltd, in close cooperation with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, has tied up with IPA Niedersachsen of Germany (Lower Saxony) for fostering reciprocal investments in India and Lower Saxony. Announcing this here, the signatories of the tie-up have said there were lot of technology-oriented automobile ancillary and food-processing companies in Lower Saxony which are suffering from obsolete management. It is felt that these companies are ideal for investment. Mr Dilip Chatterjee, Managing Director of JDS Technologies, said IPA was the official economic development organisation of the Federal State of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) and working on behalf of the Ministry of Economy. The IPA's Director for Asia (especially India, China, Japan as well as the Arabic countries), Dr Lutz Hoffmann, said the entire finance of IPA was being arranged by the German Ministry of Economy and whatever work for the promotional purposes, services for investment including product, manufacturing etc, were rendered "free of cost" to the interested clients. In fact, IPA serves as one window and coordinates on behalf of the clients in the investment including banks, site selection, immigration matter and other statutory obligations which an entrepreneur had to face. It may be noted that JDS is now looking after the interest of German companies and it has collaboration with HANSA-FELX International GmbH and in software, it has a tie-up with G-U-T GmbH. It also looks after the marketing of NOELL Mobile Systems & Cranes GmbH and SKODOCK Vetriebs GmbH, Germany. It is in operation for the last 20 years.
