Mr Jagmohan Dalmiya has contemplated yet another battle against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He has on Tuesday challenged BCCI's decision of life time expulsion against him in the City Civil Court of Calcutta.

The BCCI, at a recent meeting, had resolved that Mr Dalmiya should be expelled for life from BCCI, as he had neglected to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Board. Mr Dalmiya was summoned by BCCI to explain about alleged misappropriation of funds of Pilcom (Pakistan, India, Lanka Committee).

It is learnt that in the petition, Mr Dalmiya has stated that the life ban decision was arbitrary and without jurisdiction. The total process has been concluded giving a go-by to the rules and regulations of BCCI, Mr Dalmiya has alleged. It may be recalled, however, that Mr Dalmiya has been given an opportunity by the Board for reconsideration of the life ban decision after lapse of three years.
