Keltron, SAP plan tie-up

Mony K. Mathew

Thiruvananthapuram , Dec 21

Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (Keltron) is set to sign an agreement with SAP of Germany for providing enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to small and medium companies.

According to officials in the State Industries Department, SAP is looking for partners with experience in the software field to extend its service to the small and medium sectors. This will considerably reduce cost for the end-users.

Under the arrangement, Keltron will undertake execution and maintenance of the ERP platform, while SAP will remain the licence holder. Keltron personnel will be trained for the job by SAP.

The officials said Keltron would initially implement the project in select State undertakings on a trial basis. The company will also reach out to central PSUs and private enterprises in the coming days.
