Hind Latex ties up with Sri Chitra

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 22

The central public sector Hindustan Latex Ltd has signed an agreement with the city-based Sri Chitra Medical Centre for developing a new intra-uterine device (IUD) containing hormone.

As per the agreement, the IUD contraceptive for women will be developed within three years. This will enable manufacture of the device within the country at low cost, according to officials of Hindustan Latex.
