Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Dec. 22

Crossword and Mothercare on Friday launched their first standalone stores at the City Centre in the posh Banjara Hills area. While this is Crosswod's 40th store, it is Mothercare's second in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Speciality Retail, Shopper's Stop Ltd, Mr Jeff McNally, and Mr Rajiv Nair, Customer Care Associate and Business Head, Mothercare, inaugurated these stores.

Together, they offer combined store floor space of about 10,000 sq ft, providing enhanced shopping experience. "Mothercare brings with it all the international experience to provide safe products, and Crossword on the other hand operates on the philosophy of providing the best in order to educate, entertain and enlighten," Mr Mcnally said.

Mr Nair said Mothercare has introduced a new format that has Crossword in the same premises.

Crossword seeks to create an urban oasis for its customers by stocking a wide variety of books, magazines, movies, music, toys, stationery and CD-ROMs.
