New Delhi, Dec. 22

Broadcasters Sun TV Ltd, Udaya TV Ltd and Gemini TV Ltd will offer a few of their channels as pay channels at a price of Rs 5 (excluding taxes) each in CAS notified areas of Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. However, these channels will be free-to-air in Chennai. This correction was stated in a press release from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

As per the release, the channels include Sun TV, Udaya Movies, Udaya Varthegalu, Gemini Music, Gemini News, and Gemini Cable Vision. As per the Tariff Order of August 31, 2006, television companies had been asked to fix their tariffs for CAS areas at Rs 5 or less.
