KEEPING THINGS GOING: A worker plucking tea leaves at a plantation near Kalpetta in Kerala's Wayanad distict. Tea exports this year have been flat despite increasing shipments to Pakistan and Iraq. Export to Pakistan is likely to touch 20 mkg, boosting the tea industry in the South. Overall exports during January-October were 150.81 million kg (mkg) against 151.24 mkg during the year-ago period. Production during the period has been at 820.4 mkg, up 22.9 mkg over last year.
