Commerce meet at Andhra varsity

Visakhapatnam, Dec. 26

The 59th All-India Commerce Conference would be held at the Andhra University from December 28 for three days, according to Prof L. Venugopala Reddy, Vice-chancellor. The university had hosted the conference twice before — in 1961 and 1974, Prof Reddy said at a press meet here on Tuesday. Ms D. Purandeswari, Union Minister of State for HRD, will be the chief guest at the inauguration of the conference. Prof M.B. Shukla, president of the Indian Commerce Association, representing the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, will deliver the presidential address. Prof V. Balamohana Das, Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University, will be the guest of honour. Prof Reddy will deliver the keynote address. Several papers will be presented on topics such as brand marketing practices, outsourcing, financial derivatives, and management practices in India.
