Letters Higher education
This is with reference to "Taking education to a higher plane" (Business Line, December 22). To find a solution to this crisis, three important aspects have to be eliminated. Politics in education, reservation to appease vote banks, and an ineffective system to regulate fees. Also, the scope of the education system should be broadened to include such issues as crisis management in real life so as to prepare students adopt the right attitude. A top-rank student may not necessarily be termed successful in life. Education should be not be confined to books and getting high marks in the exams. Sivakumar.K Coimbatore
