DLF IT Park in Chennai to be ready soon

The six-million sq ft DLF IT Park@Chennai, a special economic zone, will soon be ready for occupation marking DLF's entry into the IT hub in the South, according to a press release from the company.

According to sources in the know, the ready-built workspace for IT and ITES companies spread over 10 blocks on a 41-acre campus will be ready for occupation in three months. It is ready for fit out and the lease rent is likely to be Rs 42 per sq ft.

The press release said that as a notified SEZ, it would give its occupants the benefit of duty-free import and exemptions from Income-Tax, Maximum Alternate Tax, Central Sales Tax and Service Tax.

The facility meets world-class standards of structural design and matches with new age workspace requirements with aesthetics and business ambience, according to the release.

Each of the 10 blocks in the campus will have a built-up area ranging from 28,000 sq ft to 1,05,000 sq ft. The site, at suburban Porur, is accessible from 100-ft road.
