Retailing Industry & Economy - Petroleum IndianOil to automate 2,000 outlets Our Bureau
Kolkata , Dec 27 IndianOil will complete automation of 2,000 outlets at an approximate cost of Rs 300 crore within the next year. Mr G.C. Daga, Director - Marketing of IOC, told newspersons here on Wednesday that the company had already automated 80 outlets and awarded contracts for 920 more outlets. Tender documents are being readied for the automation of another 1,000 outlets in the second phase. "The entire process will be over within the next fiscal year," he said. On auto LPG, he said IOC was currently setting up LPG refilling stations within existing retail fuel outlets. "It's an interesting business opportunity. Till such time as the policy on standalone refilling stations is ready, we have decided to expand our network from a negligible 86 to 200," he said.
