Maples ESM triples headcount

Maples ESM Technologies has more than tripled its headcount in the last one year, according to a press release from the Chennai-based IT consulting company.

Quoting its Founder and President, Mr N.Ra, Subramani, the release said that Maples has grown from an employee strength of 220 last year to 1,000 in November 2006.

The company has positioned itself in the mid-segment in enterprise application services (IBM mainframe application services) verticals and plans to focus on getting remote infrastructure management projects and mainframe application service projects from the US.

It plans to scale up operations in Japan, where it has a bi-lingual IT centre of excellence in Ishikawa Province.

The company hopes to achieve revenue of $100 million by March 2009.
