Mixed trend in spot rubber

Spot rubber witnessed a mixed trend on Thursday. RSS 4 closed at Rs 93.00 a kg against Rs 93.50 and Rs 94.00 respectively at Kottayam and Kochi.

Futures firm

The futures market ruled firm in tune with the global indices on NMCE. The January contract was traded at Rs 96.49 (Rs 95.26), February contract at Rs 99.79 (Rs 98.06), March contract at Rs 102.60 (Rs 100.39) and April contract at Rs 104.70 (Rs 102.39) per kg for RSS 4. RSS 3 improved to Rs 86.07 from Rs 85.16 a kg at Bangkok. The January futures for the grade moved up to 238 yen (Rs 88. 85) from 232.6 yen a kg at TOCOM.

Spot prices (Rs a kg) were RSS-4: 93 (93.50); RSS-5: 90 (Rs 90); ungraded: 85 (85); ISNR 20: 89.50 (89.50) and latex 60%: 64.20 (63.65).
