Ipca's Atenolol gets Chinese nod

Mumbai, Dec. 29

The State Food and Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China has approved and registered Ipca Laboratories Ltd's Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Atenolol for importation and use in China.

This is the first registration received by the company from China for the sale of its API. Shares of the company fell 0.28 per cent to close at Rs 593.75 on BSE.
