Tudor unveils X'treme batteries

Tudor India Ltd, one of the leading players in the Indian battery market and Indian subsidiary of a global leader in batteries, has launched X'treme range of batteries in the Kerala market with improved features for power-savvy modern cars. The company plans to expand its production capacity to consolidate its leadership position in the Indian battery industry. The range is designed to meet theextreme power requirements of modern vehicles features such as global positioning, A/C and climate control. The market share for Tudor in the State accounts for 15 per cent in the organised sector. It has increased the production capacity of its plant to 6 lakh units per annum and plans to expand it further to exploit the booming demand of the Indian automobile industry, which has witnessed a growth of 19.35 per cent in April to July 2006.
