NEW LIGHT: Mr G.K. Kalidasan, Vice-President - HR & Legal, ISG Nova Soft Technologies, Chennai, inaugurating the BL Club at DRBCCC Hindu College, Pattibiram. To his right is Prof N. Rajendra Naidu, Prinicipal.

Chennai , Jan. 1

The IT/ITES industry is growing. I want to get into this industry. But how do I get into this industry? Is this what you guys are thinking? The answer is simple. Even if you want to see a movie, you need to take some effort. Similarly if you want to be part of the IT/ITES industry, you need to put in some effort," said Mr G.K. Kalidasan, Vice-President (HR and Legal), ISG Nova Soft Technologies, addressing the students of DRBCCC Hindu College, Pattabiram after inaugurating the Business Line Club.

He called upon the students to have belief in themselves first. High self-belief leads to high confidence level, which in turn leads to better productivity and change in attitude. A positive attitude, as everyone is aware, ensures positive outcome.

"Update yourself with all that is happening in the market. The information on current market trends will help in the decision-making process and it is also vital for arriving at a right decision."

He advised the students to start doing some simple homework. "Start writing in a sheet of paper all that you do every day. Find out which of these are useful and relevant. Also find out which ones are irrelevant. Avoid those useless, unproductive and irrelevant things in future."
