UCO Bank to open more branches

UCO Bank has announced the opening of a branch at Kukatpally in the city and plans to open up five more in the city shortly. In a statement, the bank said that the total number of branches has touched 39 in Andhra Pradesh; the newest branch, located at a prime slot, would focus on mid-market segment finance.

The bank, which has implemented a core banking solution in some of the major branches, plans to cover 300 more branches across the country. Alongside, it plans to increase the ATM network from 150 to 300 by March 2007. The statement said that the bank has constituted a special sales force to aggressively market its retail loan products for home education as well as third party products such as bancassurance and mutual funds. — Our Bureau
