Hyderabad, Jan. 1

Reacting to reports that the public sector bus utility was closing some unviable bus depots, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, has directed the utility to see to it that there would be no retrenchment. "The Government do not want to interfere with the activities of the AP State Road Transport Corporation. However, we have directed the officials not to snap services to even remotest villages, while closing the depots," he said in a press release on Monday.
