Software Corporate - Restructuring Dax Networks rejigs operations V. Rishi Kumar
It has charted a formula for small and medium enterprise market and plans to appoint some 200 authorised Dax Solution Providers by June
Hyderabad , Jan. 1 Network solutions provider, Dax Networks Ltd, has restructured its business strategy with a new channel-driven approach to address the growing small and medium sized enterprise business. The company, which is poised to cross revenues of Rs 100 crore this year, is on course to setting up about 200 channel partners by June. The Country Manager of Dax Networks Ltd, Mr K. Surendar, told Business Line that the company has been all through focussed on offering products based on a combination of usage and design innovation that are India-centric. This has distinguished it from other network products companies. Following its success in the large enterprise market, where it partners with the likes of Indian Railways, eGovernment projects such as eSeva in Andhra Pradesh, it has charted a new formula for fragmented small and medium enterprise market. The company plans to appoint some 200 authorised Dax Solution Providers by June.
Services market
Mr Surendar said the company added 1,750 customers and sold 14,000 units in the last two years and successfully tapped the managed services market. This market has contributed to about 10 per cent of revenues from routers during the first nine months this fiscal. The new channel approach would help garner about 15 per cent of additional revenues during the January-March quarter of 2007. The company partners other service providers such as Reliance and Tulip, who offer services to the large enterprise market. Dax has bagged a mandate from IRISET, a Railway training establishment based in Hyderabad, for their routing related infrastructure. Complimenting the focus on switching, cabling and routing business, new power product range and Internet protocol based solutions, the Dax's channel expansion would provide a pan-India footprint, he said.
