RRBs to strike tomorrow

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Jan 3

More than 6,000 employees of the five Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in the State will strike work on January 5. Consequently, work at all 1,200 branches will be affected. The strike is in response to the call given by the Joint Forum of Grameen Banks Unions (JFGBU). The demands include implementation of banking pension settlement 1993, parity in all allowances and benefits, business-linked manpower planning and recruitment and promotion in RRBs.
