Land acquisition

This is with reference to "Belated rise of the east" (Business Line, January 4). Land acquisition may be a major problem in implementing the MoUs and projects. Some parcels of land are of critical importance to farmers and tribals. Why can't the poor also share the benefit? Making them stake-holders in the projects could lead to the twin benefits Easy acquisition of land for projects and fighting poverty.
