City Union Bank deposit schemes

City Union Bank has introduced two deposit schemes called CUB 400+ and CUB 600+, effected a revision in the deposit interest rate and brought its entire 155-branch network under the core banking solutions platform. The bank had so far offered interest at four per cent and five per cent for the 15-45 days and 46-90 days deposits. It has decided to offer from January 1 six per cent for the 15-90 days deposit, while increasing it marginally to 6.5 per cent (six per cent) for the 91-180 days deposit.

For periods ranging between 181 and 365 days, the rate has been hiked to seven per cent (6.5 per cent), and beyond this period up to 399 days the general category depositor would get eight per cent (7.5 per cent) and while senior citizens will get 8.25 per cent. The CUB 400+ rate has been pegged at 8.50 per cent (general) and 50 basis points higher at nine per cent for senior citizens.
