Team from New Jersey chamber meets Bengal CM

A delegation from the New Jersey-based Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce today met the West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, and discussed prospective investments in the State.

Speaking to newspersons, the President of the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce, Ms Seema Singh, said the delegation had told the Chief Minister that its members were interested in investing in hotels, nano-technology units, IT parks, knowledge parks and telecommunications research & development centres. To facilitate investments in these sectors, the State Government had been requested to allot land to the prospective investors.

Ms Singh said the delegation had visited Mumbai where it met the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh. After Kolkata, the delegation is scheduled to visit New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad, she said.
