Tata awards for biz schools on Jan 7

The Tata Business Leadership Awards (TBLA), given in business school arena, will take place on January 7. The final round of this national competition will take place in IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Lucknow, XLRI-Jamshedpur, FMS-Delhi and SPJAIN-Mumbai simultaneously on January 7.

This year, 300 teams comprising 1,200 students have registered from these seven campuses. The finals should see over 70 teams battle for the top slots. The seven winners, one from each campus are to further fight it out on the January 10 in the national finals to determine the winner for the year 2007.

The theme for the TBLA 2007 is `Identifying new business opportunities for the Tata Group'. Subsequently, all the teams from a particular campus compete to identify the best business case idea from that particular campus.
