Nuclear deal

This is with reference to "Be wary of banking on 123 Agreement" (Business Line, January 3). The unnecessary and untimely nuclear test in 1974 cost India 30 valuable years in the nuclear field. Nuclear power generation did not develop as planned. The foreign policy with our neighbours and other countries should be such that Defence expenditure can be reduced drastically.
