The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir Silver Jubilee celebrations ended here on Sunday. The celebrations coincided with the birth centenary of Girdharilal Mehta, a former president of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

The event, which was presided over by the Governor of West Bengal, Mr Gopalkrishna Gandhi, was inaugurated by Mr Somnath Chatterjee, Lok Sabha Speaker, on Friday. The event hosted exhibitions, seminar, a book fair and cultural performances.
