Hyderabad , Jan. 8

ADP Private Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of the $9-billion US-based Fortune 500 company, Automatic Data Processing, Inc (ADP), today announced plans to launch operations in Pune by February.

The Pune facility is aimed at supporting ADP's continued growth and expand ADP India's operational capacity and also serve as a business continuity and disaster recovery centre for ADP India's Hyderabad operations.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of ADP, Mr Gary C. Butler, in a statement said: "Expanding ADP India's operations is another milestone in our ongoing offshoring and smart shoring strategy to support our vision for sustained organic growth and margin improvement."

The new facility would come up in SP Infocity at Hadapsar and includes over 1,00,000 sq. feet of working space. This centre would house both R&D functions as well as BPO offshoring support to ADP's global business divisions and clients.

Initially, the Pune centre would employ around 300 associates, ramping up to over 1,000 associates over the next two years.

ADP Private Ltd recently expanded its operation in Hyderabad and employs approximately 2,000 associates in R&D and BPO services.
