XL Telecom Ltd has bagged orders valued at over Rs 67 crore for supply of CDMA fixed wireless phones and export of solar panels.

This order for phones follows the conclusion of a Rs 96-crore order from BSNL.

The company in a statement told the BSE that BSNL has issued a repeat order on completion of the initial order.

With this deal, the company has to supply 1.79 fixed wireless phones to BSNL valued over Rs 46.87 crore within the quarter ending March 2007.

Mr Dinesh Kumar, Managing Director, in a statement said that the company and its technical partner, Axestel, are ready to meet the delivery schedules of BSNL without any problems.

The company, which also focuses on export market of solar panels, has been investing in plant expansion over the past 18 months. This has meant new orders from Europe and US and has also added a second customer in the European market.

The company has also received a pilot order of Rs 20 crore for supply of one MW of solar panels. It expects multiple repeat orders.

XL Telecom recently concluded its IPO and raised Rs 59 crore to fuel its expansion plans. It is investing Rs 8 crore in expanding the solar panel manufacturing capacity to 24 MW a year.
