Mangalore , Jan. 11

Tata Indicom has announced that Mr Abdul Kalam from Mangalore is the first operator in Karnataka to redeem a `Hero Honda CD Dawn' by accumulating 21,903 runs through `Cricket hungama: Revenue ke badle runs aur runs ke badle shandar inam' — a loyalty programme from the Access Business Unit of Tata Indicom.

A company release said here on Thursday that the programme, introduced in April 2006 for all PCO (public call office) and CCB (coin collection box) operators across Karnataka, enables operators to score runs against their revenue earnings.
