Good response to BSNL schemes

BSNL has added 85,000 cell connections in Visakhapatnam in the last three months and tele-density in the district has risen to 6.28, with a customer base of 2.40 lakh, said Mr P. Nagaraju, General Manager. At a press meet here on Thursday, he said the response to the various packages offered by BSNL was overwhelming. In particular, the rent-free rural phone scheme for customers of rural exchanges with less than 1,000 lines was very well received, he said. BSNL has also added 1,48,000 B-fones in the district in the last three months, he said.
