Kochi Jan. 12

The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) is organising its annual management and cultural festival, Backwaters 2007 at its campus on January 12-14. From among a large number of contestants from various business schools across the country, over 200 selected candidates would be participating in the final event.

A major event is the RIL White Knight Competition, which is a contest based on inclusive growth across all sectors. Participants are expected to come up with ideas that would make significant difference to agriculture, rural development, healthcare and renewable energy. The passion to make that difference was evident from the huge response that poured in for the contest, a press release from IIM-K said.

It was a team with several years of experience in these individual fields who short-listed the final teams.

Apart from the glory of being crowned the champions, the teams will also compete for a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh with another Rs 1 lakh being donated to a charity of the winners' choice.
