Software Variety - Sports Play as you watch cricket, on Xbox! Preethi J
Currently, the firm is working on designing a standalone cricket game for the Xbox 360.
Bangalore , Jan 12 If you are a wannabe cricketer or just one of the millions of fans of the Men In Blue, watch out for the real-time simulated games that are heading your way. As you are watching a live cricket match, you will be able to play each ball bowled on your gaming console. Microsoft is working on a simulated game that can be played on its gaming device, Xbox 360, which is linked with a MediaCenter PC (which comes with an in-built TV tuner card). You will also be able to store the commentary as it is being broadcast on the Zune MP3 player and share it with your friends, said Mr Tarun Gulati, Manager, Developer Platform and Evangelism. Currently, the firm is working on designing a standalone cricket game for the Xbox 360. This is just one of the subtle changes that Microsoft is making to its brand. "We are undergoing a marginal shift in our outlook," said Mr Gulati. From being an enterprise-focused firm, the company is now returning to its original consumer-centric view. "We want to offer a connected experience to users as we have a range of products that can interact with each other." The firm is working on interlacing its consumer electronics offerings. The range includes media players, PCs, gaming devices and smartphones.
