NIFT centre at Rae Bareilly

The Government has approved setting up an extension centre of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at Rae Bareilly, the Lok Sabha constituency of the Congress President and UPA Chairperson, Ms Sonia Gandhi. "

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Thursday approved setting up of an extension centre of NIFT at Rae Bareilly," the Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, told reporters. The centre would be operational from the academic session 2007-08. In the initial stage, it would operate from hired premises for three years at a total cost of Rs 12.25 crore.
