Chevrolet launches Aveo variant in Kerala market

General Motors India has launched its newly introduced Chevrolet Aveo U-VA in the Kerala market. Mr P. Balendran, Vice-President (Corporate Affairs), said on the occasion that Kerala is a good market for the company in the southern region as it sells around 200-250 cars a month. The much-awaited small car Chevrolet Spark will be launched in April, he said. There are plans to increase the number of showrooms in the country to 115 from the present 95.

The new production facility at Talegaon near Pune will have an initial production capacity of 140,000 vehicles and will commence production by the last quarter of 2008. The Aveo U-VA is a global product sold in Europe, North America and other parts of Asia Pacific.
