Birla Sun Life partners 6 co-ops

Birla Sun Life Insurance has partnered six cooperative banks — five in Gujarat and one in Orissa — for bancassurance. The insurerwill reach out to about 3.25 lakh bank customers spread across 34 branches of these banks, said a news release from the company. With this agreement, the company now has 11 cooperative bancassurance partners.

The company on Tuesday launched `Simply Life'— a 10-year unit-linked insurance plan. This over-the-counter insurance plan has a minimum annual premium of Rs 10,000 and a maximum of Rs 1 lakh, said the release.
